Amateur Radio Station M1EAU

I’ve been a licensed Radio Amateur with the call sign M1EAU since 1999, but I’ve not really done much with it between then and late 2020. I did learn to use WSJT-X so I could make some (FT8) contacts whilst still being anti-social. I’m currently (in 2021) working my way through the RSGB’s Beyond Exams Club Scheme with the Online Amateur Radio Community so I’ll need to start using use voice modes eventually and learn many other skills too.

I have used a Yaesu FT-290R (with a broken screen) and a FT-690R. My first HT was a Yaesu FT-4X and I now also have a FT1D. My first HF radio was a Venus DR4020, but I’ve since acquired a Yaesu FT-817ND.

My main antenna at the moment is a End-fed-Washing-line that works best on 60, 40, and occasionally 80 meters. I have a 2E0ERO Magloop that works quite well on 30 meters.

I don’t have much of a shack but do have a nice virtual collection of wallpaper.
